Sketchy Sunday no.157

This week's sketch is one that has already sparked for me. I intend to get to grips with this one as soon as I have some crafty time and I aim to use up those odd embellies I have lurking around in my stash......you know the ones I mean, the odd blooms, charms and gems that have somehow fallen from their packaging and end up in the bottom of whatever tote or box you happen to have close at hand.

Anyway, I hope it inspires you to scrap your latest pics. I've been catching up with a few DT projects and have put together some simple cards using the new Dovecraft Neutral Goody Bag. Here's a couple of my favs.

I added a little pink cardstock to the Goody Bag contents to complete this one and a piece of glitter paper for the Thank You card. The stamp is a Dovecraft clear stamp and I stamped it with Cocoa Brown ink.

Sketchy Sunday no. 156

It's been a busy weekend of loft clearing and crafting, although really I should be looking at doing a bit of crafty clearing as well.  Project wise I've got another micro mini album on the go and I'm working on a set of cards using a Trimcraft Goody Bag. As with last week's sketch this week's is also based on one of my card designs. Now I'm going to look at my older sketches and see how many I can use for my cards, I can already see a few obvious one and it's something I haven't done before. Anyway, enough of my blathering, here's this week's sketch no. 156.

Mini Makeup Make

I've been catching up with a bit of Trimcraft DT crafting, some cards, minis and the like. This easy, single sheet flap pocket album is proving to be one of my fav projects, along with the Sweet Nothings  one I made recently.

I used Dovecraft Kiss & Makeup Dimensional Stickers to decorate the front, layering them up with foam pads. The stickers are chipboard, sturdy enough for the front cover and able to stand up to handling.

It's a deceptively roomy album thanks to the 1cm spines which allow plenty of room for pockets and tags. The scalloped semi-circles allow tags to be tucked behind adding extra room for those fun quotes or pics.

It all folds up into a neat shape making it a lovely gift album and with these papers perfect for a real makeup fan. If you'd like to make your own version here's the cut file diagram, the black sections are 1cm wide spines and you can find full instructions on the project here on my gallery at The Craft Blog.

Sketchy Sunday no. 155

A little later than normal, but today I've been making a few cards with a new goodie bag from Trimcraft. Inspired by one of those cards I've gone with a central photo sketch with a cluster of embellishments in one corner. This design is one of those fail safe ones for me, great for cards or classic layouts with either a clean and simple version or mixed media.

So, here we have it sketch no. 155.
