WOYWW 324

Hi fellow desk travellers. Today's pic is not my desk it's actually my dining table, where I shall be doing a quick bit of crafting with some new goodies that I have just dumped there. The caddy is my essentials storage, so I can just grab it and craft anywhere....if not at my desk that means here at the dining table.

The little hard drive on the right is going to be hooked up to my laptop shortly to backup my photo folder, I do this quite regularly as I'd be gutted if I lost my pics. I'm also in the process of backing them up to Amazon cloud - you get free unlimited photo storage with a Prime account, a great extra if you take a lot of pics and what scrapper doesn't?!

If you love a scout around crafters' desks why not join in the fun back at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/.

Happy Scrapping

    1. You should so use the Prime storage Sue, it's simple to set up and you can use it from your phone and tablet too.

    1. Same thing happened to my friend, that's why I tend to backup to a drive, a usb and Amazon cloud. Ok maybe I'm a little over the top, but I'd rather make sure.

    1. It really is easy, but a USB flash drive would be easy too and they're quite reasonably priced now if you didn't want to go the Prime route.

  8. you sound like you understand technology way more than me! I'm ok up to a point but then admit defeat. My hubby is the whizz with computers...but I really should learn one day :-) Losing your pics would be terrible, wouldn't it? The very thought gives me shivers.....
Sorry this reply is so late, I've had visitors for three days!

    1. Hi Jan, I work in IT so you could say I'm comfortable with technology, but sounds like you have your own IT support at home so really no need to bother yourself about it just enjoy the fun stuff, thanks for visiting.

  10. Amazon Prime is brilliant. If I lived in the UK I'd go for it too, but abroad the advantages (as in tv etc) are almost nil, but i do back up my photos. We have drop box, but our internet is a bit shaky to say the least so I also back up on a physical hard drive. (I think it's called Passport).
    Have a great week,
    Sorry I'm late in commenting,

    1. I think I know the drive you mean and no, it's not really worth you having Prime if you can't get the other stuff. I'm a TV addict do it's great for me.

  11. Hi Michelle and thanks for the visit. I'm still trying to get round everyone this week as I've been otherwise occupied (mummy stuff). The Amazon Cloud sounds good, will have to look into it. Have a great weekend and happy crafting, Angela x
