Sketchy Sunday no. 70

It's inspiration time again and I'm well organised this week, who would have thunk it? So without further ado here we have Sketch no.70 - yes I'm back with a fav element, the wave of butterflies.

Now you've got the inspiration, you'll also be needing ideas on where to put all those lovely supplies and my latest find might help,

These towel clasps are great for hanging storage systems. They're surprisingly strong and a great way to create your own version of clip it up storage...worth a try at £1 a pack from Tiger. It's always worth checking out the non-craft shops for those dual purpose items, although in this case Tiger has a great craft section... it also has lots of other miscellaneous items too, which makes for fun browsing.

Have a great scrappy and relaxing Sunday.

Wednesday, 22 July 2015

I'm not always aware of what day of the week it is, but today in a rare moment of clarity I realised it's Wednesday and being as I'm home from work at a reasonable time I decided to join the regular hop at check out the site for details of how to join in.

So here's my rather busy desk, the latest covered chipboard mini waiting to be completed and my most recent alterable purchases in the idea phase. The little glass pot of hooks and bolts are also a recent addition, I think the bolts will make good feet for boxes and the hooks may end up as part of my old, yet oh so sturdy, bookcase.

Enjoy the hop, I'll be making my way round over the next day or two.

Happy Scrapping.

Sketchy Sunday no. 69 and crafty finds

It's been a crazy but strangely relaxing few days, mainly because, although we've had loads to do, I've had a few days off work. Tomorrow it's back to the day job so I'm making the most of a free Sunday and chilling with Ray, as he's also had a few days off.

A chill out day doesn't mean we have to wait for a little inspiration, so here's this week's sketch....No. 69.

Yes, it's back to flowers and hearts... I can only last so long without them.

Now you have the inspiration you'll be needing some supplies and my latest bargain will suit this sketch beautifully.

These gorgeous gem flourishes were only 50p in my local Hobbycraft (Romford) in their sale section. I picked up two packs, but I'm already wishing I'd grabbed more.

I also picked up this gem alphabet at £1 a pack....yes I know! What was I thinking just getting one.

Enjoy your Sunday and I hope you have some chilling time too.

Happy Scrapping.

Project 365 update, bargains and more.

Yes it's overdue I know, but I have been sooooo busy with some commissions that everything else slipped a it's time to get back on track so here's my fav photo from last week:

Let's Bee Buddies!
Taken with my Panasonic TZ35 compact

And from the week before on a visit to my lovely mum and dad:

Ok so that's the photos, now for some bargains. Today I spotted these in the always worth a visit Tiger:

A whole array of generous rolls of 1" wide satin ribbon at the bargain price of £1. The next bargain is a great one for bling lovers or altered art enthusiasts:

These little bottles of glitter from The Works are lovely as is, but use up the shiny stuff and the bottles are small enough to be incorporated into your projects. I'm thinking Halloween dresser poison bottles...perfect!

Finally let's finish off with a crafty catch-up. Here's a couple of my recent Docrafts Project Design Team efforts.

This one uses download papers available on the Docrafts site and was my idea of a gift of a popcorn feast which is basically my favourite part of going to the fair.

This mini is the first of my current waterfall album fixation made with the Santoro Gorjuss paper line. These albums are just so simple to make and you can squeeze quite a lot of photos in too. If you'd like to make your own version you can find my instructions here.

Well I think that's me all caught up for now, so off to a relaxing evening in front of the box.

Happy Scrapping.

Sketchy Sunday and the Docrafts Project Team ATC swop

That's right lots going on today - firstly lets delve into the Docrafts Project Design Team first ever ATC swap. Now, I admit to never having had an inclination to make an ATC, but my team mates were all for a swap and it seemed only right to give it a go.,....and I really enjoyed it.

This is my effort, forgive the slightly soft pic, but it was snapped with the phone just before I rushed to get it in the post.

We were given a nature theme and so I went with some mists, foresty die cutting and hand cutting, all topped off with a favourite quote.

In return I was lucky enough to receive this little work of art from the talented Katie Lamb, gorgeous isn't it.

Check out the rest of the teams ATCs on their blogs here:-

Michelle- YOU ARE HERE

And now for the regular Sunday visitors here's this week's sketch no. 68.

There's space for quite a few pics on this one or you could use a couple for journaling. So, that's me for today, as is usual recently time is short so the post is too.

Happy Scrapping.
